Topic: Ok..help me..please!!! | |
---|---|
Ok well as many of you know I am at Cleveland Jobcorps. I hate it here! Nothing here for me at all.. I plan on going to college when I am done here but the thing is I dont need my pharm tech cert. to go into college. The only reason I came here was to please my parents, which I have been doing all my life. My b/f is offering me to move in with him an go to college an get my life back on track instead of wasiting my life away here. Its just like highschool here... maybe even worse! Drugs an fights around here are BAD! My health is starting to become a prob an no one here will help me get what I need to get better. I wanna just go with my b/f an get my life going but Im worried about what my parents would think about me. Im so lost.. do I try to stick it out an risk my health an wellbeing or try moving with my b/f an risk what my parents would think of me an let him help me.
Thanks. |

I don't know of any parent that would intentionally try to make their child miserable. With that said I recommend you talk with your parents and tell them how unhappy you are and what your goals are. They may be able to help you reach your goals without moving in with your boyfriend.

Cleveland Jobcorps..wow sounds like some Military thingy..I mean are there contracts? Do u like sign up..like you do for the military and once you do there is no turning back until our term is done?
If not, then why stay? If your health is declining, well that should be obvious to your parents..and i am sure they will understand. But reading your post, there may be a different motive than your health..sounds more like you miss your b/f and you want to be with him instead.. While you may be deeply into him right now, that does not mean that he will be around in a few years or even months..u may have moved on and may regret you left the jobcorps..u have to honestly ask yourself that..is it worth it..? And if it is for a guy..well then it is not, and your parents would obviously be pissed..but for health reasons..I think they would not be.. I personally think the main reason is you are doing his for your b/f..and are using some of the other things to justify....sorry thats just the way I see it.. But you are a grown woman and at the end of the day you decide on whats best for you. |

They may be able to help you reach your goals without moving in with your boyfriend. Though you see it as being put down and maybe it is, but just maybe they are trying to get through to you. I'm sure it is frightening for them to think you would make poor choices (again) or fall back into destructive ways. |

It's your choice. Choose wisely. I agree. Ditto. Be honest with everyone. Share the information; get their feedback, but the choice is yours. Choose wisely. |

You have to live the life you want. Moving in with your bf is just having someone new to take care of you...get out on your own and be responsible for yourself.

How long have you been with your BF? If that's a pretty new relationship good luck with that lasting if you move in there.
How much longer do you have at the Jobcorps? Any way you can deal with your choice and finish up with a great feeling that you followed thru on it? |

They may be able to help you reach your goals without moving in with your boyfriend. Sweetheart, you are just going to have to do what you need to do to prove to your parents that you have changed. It won't be easy, because it takes a lot more to prove you are on the right track when you were on the wrong track. If you are not getting the health care you need, then someone is not doing right. I will tell you this, you have to get that education. I am speaking from experience. I left college to get married, and never finished. I worked on it here and there when I could, but I had children to take care of and that was more important than going to school. I was going to be married forever, right. I didn't need it. I was married for almost 16 years, and was divorced. Now it's hard for me to make enough money to support myself. Trust me. If there is not much time left in that pharmacy tech class, finish it. You can work that part-time while you are in school, to earn extra money. |
