If the friends are mature (and didn't screw each other over), the friendship can occasionally survive the break up. I'm definitely looking for something serious and meaningful. But I'm an odd duck, so I think finding a great match for me is going to be a tricky thing. lol well you have a point, but it's risky and can go either way. |

And I'm kinda the same, need something meaningful, but still casual so I don't lose myself in the relationship and forget about about my own things I've got going on. |

Relation ships that begin with lust, have the hardest time surviving. If a relation ship is built from the ground up, starting out as friends and going to lovers you already know the person. Best friends make the best lovers Thats true, but the act of best friends to commence a relationship is dangerous, what if the relationship doesn't work out, then you just wrecked a perfect friendship. Thats just messed up man!. To go thur life afraid naaa not for me! Why sit and let oppurtionity fly bye. If the romantic part of the relationship fails be truthful with each other. A good friendship shouldn't fail because of this. Deceiving, lying, hurting, cheating Are what destroy friends. |

It's always hard to find that someone. Nothing worthwhile is ever particularly easy.

I think the day you try it and it fails you will see you will miss this girl as your best friend, cus the friendship will never be the same. It might not break, but it will NEVER be the same again. The day you decide to have sex with your best friend, thats the day everything will change. Or as said before. It will last forever. My point just is that; The friendship will never be the same if it fails on the romantic part.

Even if we go on that theory..., isn't anything great going to take some risk to get it. You can risk the relationship with the friend that might lead to something great, or let them go and lose the potential. Leave them to the sea of douche bags.

yeah, a meaningful relationship is never easy to find. And once you find it, you will be more happy than ever before. |

If you where to get married wouldn't you want your future wife to be your best friend?
|
|
|
|
Thats not quite necessarily in that order. The future wife could become your best friend through your relationship instead of being friend then wife.

Its a very difficult decission to take if you love the friend. But of course it could be worth a try, if you're certain the friendship and/or relationship will last. |

If you where to get married wouldn't you want your future wife to be your best friend? Yes, of course I'd like that. But to take such risk, I'm too chicken to lose my best friend over a feeling that will pass sooner or later. |

If the friends have too significant of feelings for each other, it can also be bad to ignore them. Quite often times unexpressed feelings and feelings not acted upon can cause more tension, awkwardness and other unpleasantness. |

I'm too chicken to act on a feeling that most likely will pass sooner or later. |

instead of passing it confront it and see if she would feel the same way
|
|
|

Thats one way to go aswell.

Well, if the feelings will pass it may be a different story. My feelings don't pass, so it's another issue entirely for me.
I think I feel like making a topic about that. |

instead of passing it confront it and see if she would feel the same way MAN RULE 167: CAUTION, should always be taken when pursuing the "next step" take baby steps. And know how to read the reactions of the persuaded. |
