Words that are offensive... I believe words only have the power that people give to them.
If I call somebody a smurf snuggler, is anyone going to take offense at that? Shrug those words off as a example of the ignorant speaking about what they don't understand and you take the power away from those words. |

Besides, it was just the F word, that particular 4 letter word is the one word that can be used for the most things, whether thats to display dissatisfaction, anger, disrespect or as parts of a sentence, be that a pronoun, a verb or an adjective...
Freedom of speech should include ALL speech, what kind of idiots do we want to look like, excluding just a few words from our day to day speech, its arrogant and reeks of ignorance. It's unfortunate that Scarborough apologized or I would have said good for him, it's about time T.V. caught up to the way the majority of Americans actually talked anyways. |
