Kind of out of the blue... but worth saying... ... I know I kid around on here a lot, just for fun. But in my heart of hearts I want to meet just one good, special woman to make my friend for a good long time.... and as we converse, and agree between us, the friendship could develop into something longer lasting and more intimate. so...how is that teleportation device coming along?? Well we have the 6' scanner bed and the Internet link up almost figured out... my assistant just went to the hardware store for some more lock washers. Laban the test rat didn't make it through the first run, so we are also investing in some new test animals. We may need to get some new test monkeys for the final stages. Gertrude the Chimpanzee passed away last week when Siegfried (my assistant) strapped her in to the machine and turned it on. He misread my sticky note, I had wanted him to give her bananas, and I'm not sure how he got it all messed up. Other than those few set backs, our Internet Human Teleportation Device (IHTD) is coming right along. We hope to try out our first test model in Yahoo Messenger by March of next year, that is if Microsoft doesn't buy out Yahoo and screw up our grant money from the feds. The way the device will work, is... as the user surfs the Internet dating sites while sitting in that very comfy chair (see prototype model in photo in link above), they can call up the Internet, any dating service on the planet, then access a compatible user account of any male or female of their choice, and if it is agreed upon by both source and destination ends, the "Mingler" (the name we give our teleportee...) can teleport themselves to any Internet capable geographical location on the planet. We are still working on the re-constructive side of users at the destination end who are still in the sticks using dial-up Internet service. So far, the dial-up receivers have been a bit sluggish in response, some times taking days to re-construct the Mingler at the destination end. In that prototype model in the picture (see web site) up to four people can be teleported at one time. This makes for some very interesting Mingling to say the least, and also allows for "family Mingling" allowing single moms and dads to bring up to three of their children on Internet dates. There is also a child filter available to prevent children from gaining access to the machine by mistake. |
