I've notice a large number of RN's, Health Care, Med Students.....On the Site that are single. Many seem to be searching for RELATIONSHIPS. Is this because people in the medical field are possibly more caring by nature?

Either that or else the unhealthy habits of many people are intolerable to healthcare professionals

Could just be a matter of lack of time and hating the bar scene. Healthcare Prof's work a lot of hours, and people like myself work away from home.

I've seen many that seriously love the bar scene, and like to party. I agree with working a lot of hours.

Michiganman hit the nail on the head. They're too busy with work all the time to have relationships.

3 12 hrs shifts.
So I am off 4 days a wk. but one of those days, I just sleep.

Yep... a serious long distance relationship.

Which is why I currently am only looking to meet new friends.

I can say only about me. I am very caring nurturing and after my ex and i divorced i realized that i lacked nurturing in my marriage. I want some one that for once wants to nurture me. Also the work hours suck, I do not date where I work. I actually am sourrounded by mostly males engineers. I refuse to date at work. Thru mingle i did find my very own engineer that actually nurtures me! As far as the bar scene; I have worked in a OB GYN office I have seen what happens after a 1 night stand many times. So no way for me!

Work related stress maybe another factor for health care workers. The emotional level they experience is unique to their field. Dealing with death, injuries, family members, and also doctors on a daily bases. Who do they turn to after being emotionally drained, and long work hours?
