That was my experience, too. I started getting messages from all kinds of people after I had been posting in the forums for awhile. And all of it was them writing to me first.



I don't know the answer to this one. It's clear that a lot of the women here are really down on men in general (and vice versa) but it's by no means a universal condition.



If you're OK with participating in the forums and letting people get to know you through your posts, you'll make friends here.

Just seems to me that people who DON'T use the forums are basically going to remain forever anonymous -- no one even knows they are here, unless they happen to stumble over their profile in a search or something. And a lot of profiles are so poorly written that they offer no incentive for anyone to wantr to contact that person.

To me, the forums are the key to getting noticed here.

Dan's right. Just post in the forums and then you can even strike up conversations there. That way if you decide to private message them, they know who you are (from the forum) and it will be easier to strike up a conversation by private message. Also be aware that there are a LOT of males on this site. Men normally tend to be the sexual aggressors on the internet in the sense that they are the ones who primarily are making the first moves and sending the emails. If there is no spark or physical interest there based on your photos, then no real reason to respond.

Post on the forums and that way someone will take notice of you. Worked out for me. Good luck.

Hey, I've only been here 2 years, and I only have 13,000 posts, and I get tons of e-mail....

Maybe at 3 years and 47,000 posts, I will actually get one from someone datable....??

ive had good luck with replies, and still havent had a few replies, but i dont think they've been on or get on anymore. i just let them write me first.

YOU young man ... are adorable~ first off. I am suprised a ton of these purdy girl here have no sent you a million emails..But like in a few of the responses you got in this forum....just be yourself. Smile, have fun and laugh. I, myself, respond to ALL the emails I receive.
