There is a woman where I work that is CONSTANTLY complaining.
I asked her once if there was ever a point in her life when she didn't have something to complain about. Her answer : " Nope. " How can one person be THAT miserable without resorting to suicide??? |

Why is it that some people who seem to have it all just are not happy??They get whatever they want and are temporarily happy but it quickly fades.I think they are lacking something within themselves and wont allow themselves to be happy EVER. What's your opinion??? Happiness is completly dependent on the person in question, we cannot make a person happy...we can help it along, possibly even be the one smile that can change their day but in the longrun we cannot make another person happy. Happiness comes from within, I'm always happy but I have Ataraxia so I'm almost always content. |

Happiness is an evolving thing. Human nature is synonymous with greed, and some people are happy or start out happy but just end up wanting more out of some conscious or subconscious dissatisfaction with an aspect of their life..

It is an 'inside' job.
Service work, and getting out of self can help break a funk attitude. Done on a regular basis both indicates a happier person and helps keep them that way. But I do like the old "Bake someone Happy" Betty Crocker ads. |

I call it "malcontent syndrome". LOL |

I agree that happiness is a choice. Having a partner, material possessions, or other things won't keep people from being unhappy if they choose to be so. I think it comes by being content and at peace with yourself and with God.
