Guess again. The present is always HERE NOW. It is infinitely present. The present is infinity.-----------> Do I have to paint you a picture? --------> GEEEEEZE "JennieBean"..according to your theory no one would ever owe past due bills the present is a concept of time used to represent your awareness at that point in time but doesn't keep you from being aware of the possible future and become unaware of pass events .. the present doesn't guarantee that you or anything else will exist beyond any given point in time which means that the present when it comes to awareness clearly doesn't equation to infinity |

Guess again. The present is always HERE NOW. It is infinitely present. The present is infinity.-----------> Do I have to paint you a picture? --------> GEEEEEZE "JennieBean"..according to your theory no one would ever owe past due bills You can only pay a past due bill in the present. Any action you take can only be taken in the present. If your debtor lost all memory of the incurred debt, it would cease to exist. But this is not a good example. the present is a concept of time used to represent your awareness at that point in time but doesn't keep you from being aware of the possible future and become unaware of pass events ..
The present is not a concept of "time" it is a concept of Here Now which is infinity. The point in time in which you are aware is always NOW. You cannot become aware of the possible future, you can only imagine or dream or guess what might happen in an imagined future. The past exists only in memory. the present doesn't guarantee that you or anything else will exist beyond any given point in time which means that the present when it comes to awareness clearly doesn't equation to infinity
I did not say that "the present" (Here Now) "guaranteed" that you or anything will exist "beyond any given point in time" --- did I? I did not say that infinity represented any kind of "time" at all. Infinity does not represent time. Infinity is the absence of time. Time is nothing more that an observer's perception of an ongoing process or event. |

I did not say that "the present" (Here Now) "guaranteed" that you or anything will exist "beyond any given point in time" --- did I? yes you did "JennieBean" JennieBean said I know I exist and I know I am infinite because existence is infinite. you are trying to be sneaky and slip in your pantheists beliefs by placing it in a parable ...but you clearly claim that you are infinite which mean you will exist pass any given point in time |

The point of infinite is not our bodies, or the flesh on our bones. For instance, there are infinite amount of numbers. Our presence here on earth is finite, while our soul, many seem to think is our conscience, will live on (that is if you believe in a higher power, such as God). As far as the vastness of space you were talking about earlier, like I was saying, numbers are infinite because we will never reach an ending point. The same with space. If we will never come to the ending point, it is safe to say that space is infinite. Pantheist is suggesting that the vast space IS God. There is a huge difference between having infinite but separate components and having everything lumped together as one. That's just my opinion anyway, buy hey, I am VERY new here. |

What most people are misunderstanding about "Infinity" is that it does not really represent a span of time.
It represents the absence of movement. In order to understand the absence of "time" you need to understand what time is. Time is an observers perception of a process or event, ~~ which is movement. Example: a car moves down the street, or the earth rotates one complete turn. The earth rotating one time is called one day. We call that 24 hours. We call that "time." Instead, "Infinity" represents the absence of this movement. With infinity, all movement is suspended. When all movement is suspended, "time" is stopped or frozen. Imagine if you could freeze time or the present moment. If you could, you would freeze everything that is moving including yourself. (Your physical body.) Now, in this condition it would appear that "time" has stopped; but in reality, only all moving things have stopped. Time cannot stop because time does NOT move, only things move, (and they move through space.) Imagine you could stop all things from moving in the universe. If you could, then you have reached infinity. Here is an example: You are falling off of a tall building and you have this power to stop all movement. You freeze everything. Gravity does not even work. You freeze in mid air. All things moving has stopped. Your body is suspended in mid air. But imagine that within your personal unified field, you can still think and perceive at the same 'speed' as you did before you froze all the things around you. You would now be trapped in your frozen body in mid air. Now your perception of the passage of 'time' is measured by your observation of the process of your own thoughts, not by the movement of things. In this frozen moment you can process thousands of years of thoughts as long as you remain there. This is infinity. Your awareness is infinite. It does not depend upon the movement of things or bodies in space or space time. In the absence of spacetime and matter, consciousness is infinite. The observer is a unite of awareness contained within its own unified field and has its own system of spacetime where the perception of time is measured by its own processes or thoughts. |

I did not say that "the present" (Here Now) "guaranteed" that you or anything will exist "beyond any given point in time" --- did I? yes you did "JennieBean" No I did not. JennieBean said I know I exist and I know I am infinite because existence is infinite. Yes that is what I said. But that is not a guarantee of anything. That is just what I know. you are trying to be sneaky and slip in your pantheists beliefs by placing it in a parable ...but you clearly claim that you are infinite which mean you will exist pass any given point in time
No funches, I am being completely logical. The "I am" that is me exists Now. (I am not talking about this physical body that moves through space and time.) Now is infinite. Now never ends. Tomorrow never comes. It is always and forever NOW. Nothing can exist except NOW. Existence is Now. None of this line of thinking has anything to do with any "pantheist" beliefs, nor are these parables. These are facts. |

Thank you for your contribution. I am not sure what most Pantheist's believe anymore, as I have heard too many different things, so I can't really claim to be a pantheist anymore. I think the physical universe might be considered to be the body of God according to a pantheist, but if I don't claim that my body is me, why should I think that the body of God is the actual "I AM" prime source of all things? Perhaps my body is just a manifestation of the true "I am that I am," and perhaps the body of God (the universe) is just a manifestation of the true "I AM THAT I AM" that is the Prime source of all. (GOD) |
