What's with this "Who am I to judge" attitude that seems so prevalent
these days? The question you should be asking yourselves is, "Who am I to NOT judge?" Discuss amongst yourselves; I have to go grocery shopping. |

Why would I judge anybody? I am not perfect so I know everybody else is
not either. |

I JUDGE myself. I have no right or control over anyone else, that
allows me to judge them, anywhere other than my mind. I chose with whom I converse & associate. That is controling me. Think there is a old saying, "Judge NOT least You be JUDGED" I learned that the hard way. |

only one person on this earth that judges..."God"

Humm why judge others just to have them judge you. I live my life the
way I want too it is no ones business what I do. Therefore if I don't judge you then don't judge me. Take me as I'm or leave me the hell alone. At least that is how I see life. My friends are my friends. I treat them as I do my family. What they do in there lives is there business. I'm there if they need me not to judge them. Or to tell them I told you so. I guess that is why to this day my brother is 4 years older than I'm my little sister is 16 years younger than me. ^To this day we three have never had a cross word with each other and live within 30 min of each other. Some say that is impossible. But not if you take each person for who they are and not try to make them into who you want them to be! People should live there own lives and not try to live others. |

The way I see it, don't judge others. The same as don't throw stones if
you live in a glass house I guess. I hate the thoughts of meeting that judge in the big court house in the sky. |

i never judge people' but there are some people that judge me on here
and don't even know me. |

Romee, ya got to learn to let those things slide off your back. They are
narrow minded people that judge otheres before they even know them. Live life the way you see fit if it is not the way they like it they know how to turn and walk away. Your here to make yourself happy you cannot make someone see you the way you are if there minds are closed. |

Hey have seen ya on here for a while and you seem like a real nice guy.
People tend to take first impressions and run with them sure I have been guilty of the same. People just have to take the time to get to know others for who they really are. |

Ok the whole judging others thing is just a pain....I do it but I try my
darndest to not tell anyone at all my views on things as I feel I have no right to put that out there in front of them or to their backs. As for the god is the only one who judges....well lets just say that the story that ended my belief in god was abraham and his sacrifice to god....attempting to sacrifice his first born to god at gods behest only to have god stop him before he did the did....anyone who asked me to do that only to go "sike just checking" is a turd in my book and needs less friends. |

I think many of you have the wrong idea about what "judgment" means, in
the context in which I mean it, anyway, and with regard to having forum discussions. First of all, if you'll look at the stripper thread, somewhere in there buried amongst the many pages of juvenile banter is information I posted with regard to the oft-misquoted verse (Matthew 7, 1-7, I believe) which talks about "Judge not, lest ye be judged." I am not going to rehash that here, and if you want to know the true context of the verse then, please, feel free to look it up for yourselves. Having said that, that's really beside the point here, because what most of you are saying is what a person should not have the right to do is not to JUDGE, but to OPINE. True FINAL JUDGMENT, in the sense of what will ultimately happen to a person if they engage in certain behavior, is up to God, of course. But if a person merely states they don't agree with something that they find it offensive, etc., that is NOT making JUDGMENT. As an example, in the stripper thread, I state I don't condone it because I do not -- and will NEVER -- condone the objectification of human beings and their sexuality as "entertainment," particularly since the scales are so grossly unbalanced with regard to that most of the time it's women who are doing the entertaining. It's usually women who are the punchline for such jokes, too. And all "cutsey sense of humor" aside, basically what it boils down to is that women are STILL not respected by men even in this day and age, and not by society in general, either. Of course, if you think whooping and hollaring and sticking a $20 bill in someone's g-string is being "respectful" then that pretty much ends the discussion for you right there, doesn't it? If you'll notice, though, nowhere in that discussion, nor in any other discussion in which I state my opinion, do I say that I think those people should be flogged, imprisoned or sent to burn in eternal damnation forever, now, did I? THAT would be JUDGING them. And while we're at it, every single one of you who states you don't judge people is a hypocrite and a liar...because every single one of us makes judgments every single day of our lives ...with regard to people and with regard to countless other situations. And personally, I'd much rather see a person have the courage of their convictions (no matter what they condoned or didn't condone) than to hide behind a mask of "political correctness" just to make sure they retain their status with the "popular crowd." I can't speak for anyone else, but I am quite proud to be the kind of person who doesn't "walk the wheel" and who has a mind of her own, and a voice, and who will happily, without reserve nor shame, make judgments as I see fit. That is my right as a human being. That is your right, too. Bon appetit. |
