the infamous picture in which they ask you if it is a duck or a rabbit.... you go back and forth between duck and rabbit. i always saw a rabbit first but while fluctuating to the duck get lost temporarily as if to say " what is this" I bring this up because I it is no secret that we have to put things into categories we comprehend as individuals but what if its something we cant comprehend? we then force it into something we can... I once heard that when the native Americans were on the coast line and they saw the ships from the east on the horizon that because the native Americans couldn't comprehend what they were seeing their minds processed the event as if there was nothing there. Techincally taht could me that there are things on this planet that are so in comprehensible that we cant see them OR that there are things that have an appearance that is like nothing we have seen so mush to that we force these things into immages we can grasp

Children are also an example of that. Until their vocabularies grow enough to actually use the correct word for what they feel or see, they'll use an image they understand. If a child has been traumatized very early in childhood..even when they become an adult, it will be more difficult to express what happened because of the names they gave the experience when as a child.
