You are probably right. But then again...bet you thought Texas Tech wouldn't beat Texas? Bet you thought USC would never lose a game this year? Bet you thought Florida would not lose to Ole Miss? Look, we can go on and on with this. Just let Bama fans enjoy being back into title contention. It has been a long time coming. quoted just because this needed to be said again. All of those teams lost to legitimate contenders...Bama, is coming in thru the backdoor. What decent team have they played ? |

If we look at the best conference in college football it is the Big 12. Then look at the Big 12 south. 3 of the 6 teams are ranked in the Top 5. 2,4 and 5. Tech Tech has really proven themselves so far. After they beat Tex. The thought was are they good enough to beat OK State. They did it with ease. Now all they have in front of them is OK. Which I believe they will win. Then Mo for the Big 12 championship and I am from Mo. but i do not think they have a chance against Tex Tech. If Bama or Florida or Penn is in the Championship game. Unless they do like I believe Ok and fall apart with a different type offence ,Defence than they are used to. Tech will gluide through being the National champ. No one can say they have proven themselves against better teams in the NCAA.

Do you remember Jeremy Maclin a true freshman redshirt coming out of no where last year with Missouri. He still broke the NCAA all purpose yards for a freshamn and several others. His speed is awesome. Missouri losses that have come to OK State when they could of taken over #1. Ok State said Missouri's problem is now after some graduating Seniors from last year is moost plays are going to this Sophmore. So they double and triple coverage him. Which is sorry but true. Hopefully they are changing thier game planI need to read up on Julio Jones. But I am just curious if you all had heard about Jeremy. He is still in the Hiesman watch even after Mo. has blown thier season hopes of NC. And a poor showing against OK St when they triple teamed him.
5. Jeremy Maclin -- Maclin barely edges out Tim Tebow on my ballot and it was not an easy call. Missouri will likely win the Big 12 North and Maclin may be the primary reason. Maclin leads the country in total all-purpose yardage (1,985 yards) and is second in average yards with 198.5 per game. He also seems to provide a Heisman highlight almost every week. Tebow is having a great season, but the emergence of a great supporting cast has dropped his numbers. His mediocre performance in a home loss to Ole Miss is still an issue, but he has time to overcome that. Also, several other quarterbacks are outperforming him (rushing and passing). At this point, I give the nod to Maclin over Tebow. |
