Once held I within my hand
The keys to all this promised land
I sequenced life in the passing years
and put to rest unfounded fears

Somewhere in time and ages
left a mark upon these pages
The world I saw, yet unseen
As I feted with jocund company

Sweet clarity accompanied my youth
Never bending in search of truth
My feet ne'er faltered though I swayed
I kept to and walked the narrow way


Trapped within this net of gold
Life's essence now unfolds
Rest easy now my hope of gain
Youth may be gone,still young I remain
