I read, or have read, several profiles that pretty much state the same thing:

"I have no baggage and if you have, don't bother!"

That statement, to me, says there's for sure some baggage of some kind!

IMHO, any one who can say that and it be truth..have lived a very sheltered life, or have not actually lived in the true sense of the word. I know of no one who's walked through life and not have been scathed in some sort of way, or life events that didn't leave some kind of permanent mark.

The difference is whether YOU carry the baggage or whether the BAGGAGE carries you.

Everyone has baggage. You're right....it's not whether or not you do, it's how you carry it. I just bought a new suitcase.

Usually, those who mention no baggage or no drama on their profile usually have quite a bit of it.

I've found that to be more true then false also.

I think what they're really saying is--- deal with my baggage and my drama but don't ask me to deal with yours!

It's not cheap but I've had it for over 1000000 airline miles and it only has one little tear.

I always thought that when people said "baggage", they meant children.

I think some do, and IMO, children should never be labeled as "baggage". They didn't ask to be brought into this world.

Hummm baggage myself I don't call my past nor my kids baggage. My kids are my world and my past is a part of me which I have dealt with and does not have a bearing on future relationships. But my past is and will always be a part of who I'm.

To me those that state no Drama no Baggage are ones that can not mentally deal with life itself. They can not deal with every day issues nervous type of people. I want one that has a strong mind not one that is on the edge of falling off the cliff.

Yea someone wants to call my kids baggage they can keep on thumbin down the rode and be lucky if I don't stomp a mud hole in them.
