I am a Roman, a Legionnaire
A soldier in a strange land
Doing as only soldiers dare
I am Rome's extended hand

I am French, a Crusader
Fighting in the Promised Land
Wearing the cloak of a Templar
I am God's extended hand

I am British, in a coat of red
Fighting in a colonial land
Colonials would see me dead
I am the Empires extended hand

I am Jewish, An infantryman
I fight to free my people's land
For Israel must be again
I am again God's extended hand

I am American, a Green Beret
Fighting in a jungled land
The Viet Cong are my prey
I am democracy's extended hand

My name is Casca, a Legionnaire
The lance in His side by my hand
Till His return must I fare
I am the Father's extended hand

I am Casca, cursed by He
Till He I lanced returns again
A soldier I shall ever be
Never knowing death's final end

Most definately a soldier of immortallity. Each time I read it, more
comes to mind.
