Topic: Should women pay when out on a date? | |
---|---|
Call me old fashion but I think the man should always pay when going out on a date...am I wrong to think this? I have heard sooo many guys say they feel less like a man when a woman pays...is this true?

I think a lot of guys feel that way, and that just shows that they are a gentleman...of course I also see nothing wrong with going dutch on occasion or even paying myself

Well, I've met a few who are not offended. For me, it's partly based on feeling it's MY TURN and sometimes I pay if they just paid for something, or if I know the fellow is low on funds. It's only fair to at least offer once in a while.

If I ask I pay if you ask you pay sounds fair to me

first date, men should pay, after that
if the LADY wants to pay it's fine by me |

I think it depends on whose idea it was to go out ya know? If you initiate the date...take on some of the bill. Or if he's broke, treat him!

I think a man should pay for the date because it shows they are a gentlemen. But in return give them your attention and time and even if the date not going well.

I have heard sooo many guys say they feel less like a man when a woman pays...is this true? I disagree.. out of like the 18 dates I went on with my ex I paid for everything except she got us lunch TWICE which cost her maybe $15. I spent hundreds of dollars on her for dinner, beach, bowling, movies and NOT once did she offer to pay. I would not feel less of a man if she paid whatsoever. |

I only have 2 rules:
1. We take turns paying. 2. It's always my turn. |

It all depends on who ask the one that asked should be the one that pays. Now I don't believe that should be all the time for I see no reason why a lady can not pick up the tab once in a while. Or at least the drinks at the bar before a meal if you are having to wait for a table.
Now days many women actually have a higher income then some men do or pretty even. I've been known to pick up the tab at times I have no problem with it. |
