Looking for a needle in a haystack.
I received a few emails a few weeks ago from a gentleman who told me about a website that i can create my book at and pay per printed copy upon demand. i saved the email so i could go back to it. it took me hours to go through all of my emails and i can't find him. if anyone can help me, a thousand thanks to you. if i heard it again i'd know of the site. *kicks own ass for not bookmarking site* |

I think Lex was doing that through Amazon.

I think Lex was doing that through Amazon. Yeah, there are a bunch of them -- the one I used was called CreateSpace, and it's owned by Amazon. But there are others out there. Lulu is another one, their site looks good. |

it's a website that you can self publish (i believe) and create it.
it lets you market your book through amazon and some other sites. you pay for the prints as you get the orders. i think it begins with a 'C' |

What kind of books do you have in mind???? I run a website for a lady here in town that sells books.

I run a website for a lady here in town that sells books. i wrote a book reworking the details in it now. it's been 3 years and i'm about finished i had an agent at one time but i let him go. it was tedious getting to that point when i've completed it i'm going to throw it out to some publishers and if i don't get a bite soon (unknown author) i'll self publish. |

google "self-publishing" but beware some of these
may be scams like the patent assistance services! rule 1 - watch out for fees. you can always self-publish by getting a copyright on your work and posting it publicly somewhere on the net many places will bind for you if you like but there appear to be several services.... just watch out for scams!! ![]() sounds like Lex has scouted some out - so there you go! |

Another good thing is they're OK with simultaneous submission, so you can actually submit to other publishers even while CreateSpace is printing and selling your book. You just can't use CreateSpace's ISBN on another publisher's version. |

No, you don't understand, the desktop search scans your computer and when you do the search it only shows results for your emails and files and web pages you have visited etc. Makes looking for emails a breeze when you know a keyword or two. It also hooks into gmail and you can exclude web results. Good look with the search!

No probs, it takes a few hours to build the index for the search and after that it updates automatically. If you use Outlook for reading emails it only indexes your emails when you have Outlook open. I suggest leaving it running for a few hours when you go off to do chores or whatever. After you find what you want you can uninstall it or leave it on your machine if you need to search for things regularly. Good luck!

so it looks for keywords through your computer AND online?
my emails are on a hotmail account |
|
|
|
Specifically on your machine, you can chose to have it look online also. I "think" if you download Microsoft Live Mail (which hooks into hotmail) then it will also search your hotmail as they will be saved as a local mailbox on your machine.
