Shelly, my advice is to FORGET IT! I'm taking everything--cortisone
nasal spray, super duper prescription antihisimes, etc. The only thing we sufferes can do is cut off our noses(they're just decoration anyway) or move to the moon where there is no atmosphere. One Dr. told me to get some of those face masks to wear around town. Now wouldn't that turn the guys on. LOL |

Seriously, salt water. It works great, its nearly free, and stings, but
does the trick. There's even a special kettle to pour it (looks like a long thin ornate tea-kettle) - but you dont need to go that far. Use an empty sinus-squirter, or a children's "booger-sucker". I recommend using sea-salt, maybe a teaspoon (less until you get used to it), in a cup worth of warm water. Squirt it into your nostrils - let it soak it. The first couple times you'll hate it. But it will instantly work, and be chemical free. |

The special Kettle that Mike is talking about is called a netti pot, and
the salt that goes in it is a special salt refined for use in the pot. it generally holds about 8-10 oz water and 1/4 teaspoon salt. It works very well for alot of sinus ailments including colds. |

Yeah, get a wash cloth and get as wet as you can with a vinegar and
water solution, hold it over your knose and sniff till the solution goes to you throat and makes you gag. That works, Ive never used salt though it probably works too. |

It also works for allergins. The principle behind the pot is to clean
the fine hairs in your sinuses and nose that carry impurities out of the body. Also to create an unfriendly environment for germs and viruses. It can be used several times a day, or once a week or month. It depends on the person and situation. How do I know? I have and use one because I have had sinus trouble for years, and it helps alot. |
