I have a calcium deposites (even at 23) in my knees. Doesn't help that my genetics are against me and I used to do alot of skateboarding/rollerblading in parks or anywhere I could wax a good curb or rail guard. So yeah there is some self inflicted stupidity there. Anyways, lately I have been having massive trouble with my left knee. I try not to wear a brace due to the fact I run and i'm trying to work the deposites down to a minimum. Normaly if I end up injuring myself (knees) it only takes a day or two to feel back to normal but this time it hasn't gotten any better at all.

Have you talked to your doctor about a steroid injection? It will actually get rid of some of the deposits and any adhesions that may have built up and cure the pain many times. I have had injections in both my shoulders and an elbow, they were wonderful. I had bone spurs in my shoulders and they took care of them. I would talk to your doctor. Also you may want to try taking glucosamine chondroitin, you buy it at any store, many different brands, but it is supposed to help build up the cartilage in the joints and it has helped relieve pain in many people's joints, doesn't work for everyone, but many people with arthritis swear by it. Would be worth a try. Some people have tried Synvisc injections, is a series of 3 injections in the joint, is actually chicken cartilage, I have heard mixed reviews on it, and I would try the others first. Good luck with your knee.

I don't cary a doctor. I hate the pricks entirely. Espetialy around here where all they give a **** about is weather or not you have a good insurance policy. I will take a look into those pills though and see if those help at all. another 2 days of this and I might jsut call a doctor on it anyways.

Anti-inflammatories can help with pain too, ibuprofen or Aleve or Advil, they will take down swelling if there is any in the joint. They can be hard on the stomach. You can always ask a pharmacist at the drugstore for ideas with what meds to take for your knee too, they are a good resource. Sorry you have had bad luck with doctors. Hope the medication works for you. Good luck.
