Woman Attacked At ATM, Assailant Carves Letter Into Her Face Woman Robbed, Attacked With Knife At Bloomfield ATM POSTED: 4:03 pm EDT October 23, 2008 UPDATED: 4:10 pm EDT October 23, 2008 PITTSBURGH -- A 20-year-old woman who was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield was also maimed by her attacker, police said. Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard tells Channel 4 Action News that the victim was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday night outside of a Citizens Bank near Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street just before 9 p.m. Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, Richard said. Richard said the woman refused medical treatment after the assault, which happened outside the view of the bank's surveillance cameras. The robber is described as a dark-skinned black man, 6 feet 4 inches tall, 200 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. The man was wearing dark colored jeans, a black undershirt and black shoes. http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/news/17789356/detail.html Uh Oh, the liberals are coming.... Not even fair or right. The whole analogy of this OP is racist and uncalled for. One person who acts badly does not imply that all do. I am sure McVay would be a McCain supporter so I guess that makes all righties bombers and murderers right? Sick people. My opinion of course. McVeigh was a libertarian... |

"Richard said the robber took $60 from the woman, then became angry when he saw a McCain bumper sticker on the victim's car. The attacker then punched and kicked the victim, before using the knife to scratch the letter "B" into her face, Richard said." This part doesn't make sense for the "robber" (in my mind much worse than robber would be the name) but if the McCain sticker is what made him mad why not mark her with something opposite to McCain, why a "B" anyway??? Did the "robber" say he beat her more for the bumper sticker? Is that how they know that? Being a victim of violent crime myself, I would not "know" that someone "looked" at the bumper sticker and kicked me somemore. So how did she know that? Was she making an assumption? It just doesn't make any sense put that way. Now if he said something about it why didn't they include that into the story? Maybe the B was for Bull**** cause I smell some. I am wondering why she didn't receive medical treatment for somebody carving a letter in her face. Ooops - edit. She refused treatment. |

she refused treatment
I saw the picture of her though. it looked more like a scratch and if you squinted your eyes you could kinda make it look like a sloppy B |

Police: Campaign Worker Admits Making Up Story MORE: KDKA Online Voters Guide | Campaign '08 News Embed our Politics widget to get our news on your site A Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Ashley Todd confessed to making up the story & is facing charges PITTSBURGH (KDKA) ― Police sources tell KDKA that a campaign worker has now confessed to making up a story that a mugger attacked her and cut the letter "B" in her face after seeing her McCain bumper sticker. Ashley Todd, 20, of Texas, initially told police that she was robbed at an ATM in Bloomfield and that the suspect became enraged and started beating her after seeing her GOP sticker on her car. Police investigating the alleged attack, however, began to notice some inconsistencies in her story and administered a polygraph test. Authorities, however, declined to release the results of that test. Investigators did say that they received photos from the ATM machine and "the photographs were verified as not being the victim making the transaction." This afternoon, a Pittsburgh police commander told KDKA Investigator Marty Griffin that Todd confessed to making up the story. The commander added that Todd will face charges; but police have not commented on what those charges will be. According to police, investigators working on the interview process detected several inconsistencies in Todd's story that differed from statements made in the original police report. Pittsburgh Police Public Information Officer Diane Richard released a statement earlier today, saying: "Because of the inconsistencies in her statements, Ms. Todd was asked to submit to a polygraph examination which she agreed to do." No photos of Todd are being released by Pittsburgh Police at this time. The investigation is continuing as officials determine what charges will be filed. |

Yes, she needs help.
So do all the people who rabidly repeated her lie in an attempt to stir racial and political division. |

There's no shortage of ignorance in the extreme of any side. True. i can't argue with that, but it seems that Obama supporters are doing a better job of hiding theirs... I seem to only be hearing about racial slurs and attacks associated with McCain and his campaign. Palin, insists that Obama is not "like us" and that "he hates america" so much that he "pals around with terroristS" (terrorists being plural). There have been attacks as was mentioned by me earlier in this thread against black Obama supporters, and don't let us start on some of the Republican campaign rallies i been seeing... If any of you guys have legitimate examples of such happening and condoned by the Democratic campaign i'd sure like to know. |
