I was going through some old boxes in the attic today and came across this poem that my daughter, Amanda, wrote when she was ten or 12.
Thought I would share it!!!! I am a musician I wonder where music take others I hear the rhythm and harmony in almost every song I see bands, groups, & composers perform live and on television I want to perform for hundreds I am a musician I pretend when I am practicing I am performng a solo on stage for hundreds I feel emotions overwhelming me when I listen to music I touch music like it is something sacred I worry about people who do not feel anything when they listen to music I cry when the music touches me I am a musician I understand the need & want of music to composers and musicians I say aloud to myself what I truly feel the music is saying to me I dream of being a great tenor saxaphonist and performing for myself I try to help people understand the concept of music I hope I touch one person with my music I am a musician |
