Okay, first of all, Revelations isn't a bunch of "gobble dee gook" when read correctly, Revelations is a very inspiring book that helps you see what life is and will be like should you choose to side with Satan or God. Also, Revelations depicts the future of what is to happen amongst the nations of the Earth, and I tell you right now, a lot of it is beginning to happen. It was written over a thousand years ago yet it describes what is happening with the middle East and Russia. It describes how nations will rise against each other which is happening now with the oil crisis and the problems in Israel, Iraq and the rest of the middle East.

anyway... sorry for the rant. It depicts in REVELATIONS that within the city of New Jerusalem, there will be a tree on both sides of the river which flows from the throne of God. These trees will produce fruits all year round and that the people of God will eat of it. Also, outside the city of New Jerusalem there will be nations among nations. We will eat and not hunger, but we won't be gluttonous. Food will not be hard to acquire because we will no longer have to toil the land to produce crops, rather fruit producing plants and veggies will be abundant year round. Now... what I can't tell you is what exactly will be on the menu. Or how it will work, but I can tell you that there will be food, we will eat but there will not be a gluttonous appetite because our bodies will not be the same in heaven as they are here on earth.

I think fruits and veggies will be the food in "heaven" and that they will be eaten only for enjoyment. Nourishment will come from the light energy itself.

As far as revelations is concerned, the writing is so ambiguous it can be interpreted a million different ways.

Nations have been rising against each other since their beginning. That is what a nation is. (A country is not even recognized as a country unless it has a military force.)

Revelations can be interpreted much like a tarot card. Every individual sees something different in it. It has meaning according to the meaning it is given by the one reading it.

I don't think your body will be fed as much as the spirit will be. Again no comment on revelation....

I am even uncertain in which passage(s) of Revelation it discusses foods in heaven or what will be on the menu there? I have only skimmed this book and that is where I have pulled various misogynistic sentiments and tone. huh

I was in a local health food market the other day and there was a package of bread that was supposed to be biblical in some respect or they were making that comparison. I think it was spelt or something. I didnt really look closely but I remember seeing the label. Im assuming the comparison they are making is merely that people who lived 65 BCE ish would have included these particular grains in their diets as they did not have access to flower milling production just yet.

a very silly and naive question indeed.
how could it be possible for a being without a body to have the need to eat?

From what Christian believe they will be saved and their bodies will be put back together. I have not heard anyone claim that there will be no bodies in heaven. In fact, the Bible says that Christian will sit beside Jesus on his throne. If you don't have a body you don't need a throne to sit in.

spiritual bodies must have some type of mass to them, the fallen angels were able to impregnate flesh women. During the Exodus they were fed manna from heaven described as the food of the angels, so they must eat I would think, and Jesus, when he rose, could be touched yet also passed through a wall, all I know, is that one day we will all know for sure.

I think our flesh, earthly bodies will go back to dust, we will have perfect spiritual bodies.

probably just unleavened bread, made without yeast. Some use it for communion
