I have 2 RCA products...a 32" tv and a stereo system...both in the past month have decided to blow the gasket! (I know gaskets aren't in them)
I bought both in August. Do they put crap in them now that they know will last just past the year warranty? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Some times i think this is true they do that to the new Plasma and Lcd tv's a tv with a built in timer to blow up after so many hours of use
![]() Because the cost of getting them fixed is so high you might as well buy a new Tv ![]() ![]() Scam what a rip off ![]() |

The warranty might be applied on a time-scale, anway.
Ten months pass on a one-year warranty means that it only pays out 20% of problems at that point. Warranties are usually third place to "Buyer Beware" and "No Guarantee Implied". IMO |

Some things aren't worth the regular or extended warranty because the shipping will be as much as a new product. A 21" monitor cost me $165 to return for warranty. You should always keep in mind the weight versus cost of a product.
Another product that I learned the hard way was a laser printer. Paid $149 for the printer and when I went to buy another toner cartridge, it was $149. I bought another printer for $149 that the toner cartridge was only $67 to replace. Also, beware of Brother inkjet printers. They clean the printer head every so often and use a lot of ink doing this. I got 4 faxes over three months and it was out of ink. I pitched it for a different brand that doesn't use ink to clean itself. |
