October sees the reaper enter Gone are the green leaves and buds so tender The trees slip into the latest finery Adorned in gold, brown and red so fiery The cold wind whispers of winters tales to come And plots to capture the rays of the sun Honeysuckle once fragrant and vibrant Bow their heads, the wind their assailant Defiantly shines the last rays of summer Gaily dancing on threads of glazed gossamer In the mild October morn birds chorus in harmony Blending together sounds and colours in a symphony Autumn may still be young in October Yet bestows to us colours to remember Icy grass fingers turn towards a waning sun Sleep now earth, your job is far from done Mother nature prepares for a well earned rest But not before blessing this October fest Brown, vermilion, purple and beauteous gold We are divinely blessed as autumn unfolds 17.10.08 ♥.·:¨¨:·.♥.·:¨¨:·.♥.·:¨¨:·.♥.·:¨¨:·.♥.·:¨¨:·.♥.·:¨¨:·.♥.·:¨¨:·.
