If I take a safari full of people and know there are lions ahead, and I don't tell them "hey, maybe you should watch out for that lion" and if somone in my safari group gets mauled, what respoinsibility do I have for not telling them where the lions are?

You obviously are aware of preditors so this isn't a very good comparison

Can you prove that the said individual is in fact a convicted serial rapist, and must be registered as a sex offender in the community where he lives?

Provide legal documentation of convictions for said crimes?

Provide documentation that said convicted individual, is the person that has an account?

Then I would bring it to the attention of the site owners. And provide certified copies, not by fax, or email.

Then they can consult their legal counsel.

We are all adults and I say the majority of us have some intelligence and common sense...........did someone have to force you to be in the site?..............they have no accountability unless i have paid some major cash...........

OK, I hear what you say here, but if you apply the same logic to the real world, why have sex offenders register when they join a new community, we're all adults right? I mean you'd sleep better not knowing that John Smith who just moved in next door molested some kids and you'll feel perfectly safe knowing that he's watching yours when they're outside playing right?

I speaking on the aspect of an adult site which deals with adult issues meaning you have to be an adult..................I have no problems with enforcing laws that protect our children but its quite ridiculous to assume that you can enforce anyone on the WORLD WIDE WEB..........should we then extend ourself in other areas of the internet..................

Why is that ridiculous? It's not exactly unheard of for people to come on to a site and pretend to be something that they are not, hell there's people on this site that have a few stories to tell! I just don't see why there are mechanisms in place to protect people in the real world and not on the world wide web.

Right, I know that, but a person can be an adult and still not be someone that you want to get involved with, so why not give people a heads up, you know?

They ban people for making rude posts, how hard would it be to ban people for being sex offenders?

Breaking the law, and personal habits that are not against the law are totally different subjects don't you think?

don't you have kids? Don't you want to protect them, by whatever means necessary?

kids require monitoring
this is why whenever we find one that is underage online....we report them...for THEIR protection.

shoot I monitor my daughter on my space.

spam and predators are everywhere.
on the streets and on the web
and at schools Im sure
at church and at a basketball game

only safe way to live is to isolate...but that gets boRING

Actually when it comes down to it you are here on your own. Due to this is a free site no background checks are done ect.. It is up to each to make sure of the person you talk to and in the long run decide to meet.

But many times I have seen that Admin do as much as they possible can to protect the members here. Matter of fact I have see Admin on this site take more of an interest to their members then any site I have ever been on or heard others have tried out.

But in the long run too many fail to question others when talking to them or doubt there words. I understand trust is a must at times but safety should always come before anything.

Make sure you talk to them ask them questions pay close attention to the red flags and do not ignore them. Learn to use the tools before you to find out as much about them as you can. Always make sure the first time you meet them is in a public place. Don't give out all your personal information where you live ect until you get to know them much better.

As I said it is always better to be safe then sorry.
