The words flowed glibly from a poisoned tongue
Aided by the actions of the devil earth-bound

I was offered a drink from a poisoned chalice
Liquid words served with ice and sprinkled with malice
I took the bait and swallowed it whole
Damned well very nearly sold my soul

From my fog infested dream I slowly rose
To see all the tales you told exposed
I peeled back the candy coated shell
I escaped the trip which was headed for hell!

Words with such emotion and very touching indeed. It brings us to wonder at times what were we even thinking about. From one that the words flow so easy that they melt us and we follow as if they were the Pied Piper just walking within a daze. But for what ever reason the spell no longer has its power. And we soon awaken from our dream just in time to see reality at it's finest.
