Topic: Soul Mates?? | |

Oh NO!!! Not another Soul Mates thread!!!!
Yep. Sorry folks. This came to me last night ( while my computer was still dead ) and it just came back to me. Question. Do you actually think there IS such a thing and that you are destined to meet them eventually? Now. I know that OP's are notorious for not answering their own questions. Fortunately, I'm not one of them...lol I think there are 3 options. Option one : Yes. There is such a thing as a person's Soul Mate and each person is destined to eventually meet theirs. Option two : No. There is no such thing as the person that is 100% perfect for you. That rules out the general definition of a Soul Mate. Option three : Yes. There is such a thing, but due to distances involved, personal issues, etc. etc. etc....you are NOT destined to be together with that person in this lifetime. There is a line in a song that goes " Do you believe in love? Do you believe in destiny? True love may come but once in a thousand lifetimes ". My personal belief is that I am on lifetime number 566 and I have a couple hundred yet to go. |

you actually can have more than one soulmate in this lifetime though

There is no such thing as a 'soul mate'. There may be people out there you meet in your lifetime that you may feel VERY in-tune with, but the 'soul mate' thing would be cutting things a bit thick.

you actually can have more than one soulmate in this lifetime though Perhaps. But having yet to find one, and knowing what I know about myself, makes it seem a bit far fetched to think that there is even one. Much less more than one. |

I personally like to believe in option one. I like to think there's some one out there for me that's "perfect" and that's why I'm still single.

The question assumes a "future tense", for belief to be operative.
A narrower focus of belief is easy: Having once had a soul mate, and that union is past, it may be harder to believe that another soul mate exists. Souls age, and change, and so changes the definition of a soul's [next] mate. |

I really don't know how far I could run with it considering I have not found anyone who actually fits the " Soul Mate " description. |

I really don't know how far I could run with it considering I have not found anyone who actually fits the " Soul Mate " description. Then finding the mirror's view of your soul may help. Sometimes another person knows better what fits us than we know ourselves. How did I find my first and second soul mates? God answered my prayers for the needs of my soul. I supplied a few specifics, on my wish list, and enjoyed all of their other facets. (It was a shock to each of them that they were literally an answer to prayer. But they got over it.) |

or Option #4 ..
Not everyone believes in soulmate/s because not everyone has one. IF you do believe in it you have one |

or Option #4 .. Not everyone believes in soulmate/s because not everyone has one. IF you do believe in it you have one So lemme get this straight... If I believe I have one, then I have one. But if I don't believe I have one, then I don't?? I can't quite see how that works. If I don't believe that there is one, does that mean that the one who is simply ceases to exist?? I would REALLY hate to be the cause of someone de-materializing and traumatizing their family and friends. |

I met my soul mate in traffic, he cut me off, I gave him the finger and cursed his ears off...so much for happily ever after

I'm with option two. I don't believe in soulmates. I think there are probably a number of people with whom I could have a happy, healthy long-term relationship. I just need to find one of them.

Okay, I am going to be brutally honest with you. We have been posting here together for about 6 weeks and know each other from our posts. And, you will not find anyone, not your soul mate or anyone else because you have decided you will not. I would not normally be so honest, but I like you very much and wish you would understand this. You have already made your mind up. You will say you are looking, but the truth is you have completely given up. |

you actually can have more than one soulmate in this lifetime though I sure hope you are right. I am beginning to wonder if it was a one shot deal. |
