Now I saw a little clip about Obama's speech today in w/e city he was in. He was saying how their closed factories were gonna build wind turbines and solar panels and and that we will invent a green car before any other country.

For one, how would he use wind turbines to power cars, and secondly solar panels cant really power a modern car. If I ever go to the other site where we talked about this I will find my calculation that stated the surface area we needed of solar panels to power a car, but it was way more than the total surface area of a car lol.

I dont know if he just doesn't know these kinds of facts or if he is just giving people false hopes.

That is sure how it sounded the way he gave the speech. There was no pause, he went directly into those forms of energy into the statement about the car.

This is not what one person said about the other, and the news broadcast didnt mention this fact either. It is just something I picked up on due to my profession.

I guess, he assumed, wrongly that people would realize that he was referring to a new world of green energy developement not just cars. I think he was usind a metaphor, that these abandoned plants and factories can be retooled to build, solar panels etc...

He should know better...since his supporters are so quick to jump all over any McCain, or Palin slip ups... I hate these arguements though i really do. They are meaningless side arguements.

He did not say that those items were used for making a green car. Those were different statements. He was talking about the manufacturing jobs and how alternative energy can renew those jobs and how American ingenuity can and should make a "green" car as you put it to be in competition with Japan and Korea on the car manufacturing front.

I will agree, he is EXTREMELY manipulative... That's one of his "scary" points. He can actually get people to applaud the end of our country...
