Topic: Batman 3 rumors... | |
---|---|
So, if you've been hearing rumors of a 3rd Batman film with Johnny Depp playing "The Riddler" or Philip Seymore Hoffman as "The Penguin"... it's ALL RUMORS!
David S. Goyer, co-screenwriter of "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight" gave an interview to MTVnews.com stating that all the casting rumors being circulated in the media "It's all B.S., all of it." "Chris [Nolan] and I haven't even talked about it. He quite understandably is taking a long, long vacation and wants to purge himself." He does admit though they have loosely discussed themes and ideas - "We have mused here and there [but] I mean Chris is pretty much a one film at a time kind of director. I wish I could tell you more. There really isn't anything to tell." Will we ever know? "If and when [Chris is] ready to talk - we'll talk," Goyer promises. Jay's note; And there you have it. UNTIL Christopher Nolan is back on as DIRECTOR of a 3rd Batman film, don't believe any and all Batman 3 rumors. Thanks to DarkHorizons.com |

johnny depp would kick ass as the riddler...

I wish Frank Gorshin were alive to play riddler again

johnny depp would kick ass as the riddler... I think he could pull off a pretty kick ass Penguin, too... (And I'd like to see Angelina Jolie as Catwoman!) |

I don't know that I want to see the Riddler. I really don't want to see the Penguin pulling bird capers. What other Bat-Villians can we use?

Clayface would be awesome to see in a movie
|
|
|
|
who would be a good two-face?
besides tommy lee jones of course lol |
|

The guy they had was pretty good, but they decided to kill him. What a waste. And Clayface would be awesome with the cg they do now.
What would be a good villain to have when introducing a 12-year-old **** Grayson? |

I don't know that I want to see the Riddler. I really don't want to see the Penguin pulling bird capers. What other Bat-Villians can we use? In recent Batman comics, the Penguin is portrayed as more of an illegal arms dealer who just happens to wear a top hat. No way Christopher Nolan would try to do the Penguin like the way Danny Devito did in "Batman Returns". |

I'd rather see Kate Beckinsale than Angeline Jolie as cat woman =D

i personally am begging for no penguin and a very dark riddler, and maybe even no cat woman. that is what ruined the previous batman movie series is that it went from being batman to this campy plasticy stupid embarrassing film. keep it dark, keep it heavy. the last 2 have been pure genious.

Christopher Nolan brings an element of reality to his Batman world. What worked with "The Dark Knight" was the fact that it wasn't campy. Tim Burton's 1989 "Batman" was campy. Sure, it worked AT THAT TIME, but doesn't hold a candle to the latest Batman films Nolan has given us. If Nolan does bring in the Riddler, Penguin or even Catmwoman... you can expect it to be nothing like Tim Burton's or Joel Shumachers feeble attempt of a good Bat-film. |

You also wonder if Nolan would dare bring Joker back with someone else stepping into Ledger's now "iconic" portrayal of the character?
Also, I would want to see Scarecrow as the main villain and really get into his dark roots. But, since I highly doubt those two things will happen, I'd say the time is right for Batman to face a female villain, and two of the best for this are Catwoman and Harley Quinn. |

i still like Tim Burton's Batman movies and think they are still good in today's world.

I'd like to see Quinn, but to see her, you have to have a Joker, and it will be years before someone else can do that character again. |

I hope whoever plays Batman talks louder.

Or at least doesn't try to be quite so fuzzy. Have him talk to Kevin Conroy (animated voice of Batman) to work on the voice.
