Topic: Hi I'm new | |

I would like to say hi. I grew up in Kansas but have been out of state for 18 years. Living in a small town and enjoying myself. I am a Mom of three girls and I am married. I would like a few friends just to chat maybe meet for coffee, have a good laugh.

hi here 4,
Plenty of people to chat with, not many people to actually meet, lol. Don't know if you've noticed but.... it's a thousand miles to anywhere. |

|
|
Well, you know what they say about a journey of a thousand miles.

Hello :) I finally found your post. Your not that far from me then are you? Omaha isn't that far I mean? Anyway, I got a pic uploaded yay! Had to do it at work but now people can see what I look like. I like your pic too :) Hope you had a great day today?

My day was good. I had the day off. I am a sub in the school district and I usually don't know when I will be working. Got some things done around the house and went for a walk.
Not sure if I offended the other Kansans but it is nice to have someone to talk with. Thanks P.S. Cute dog! |

You don't offend us, we just usually don't use this forum for speaking to other Kansans.
So where in Kansas are you from? Are you originally from Winfield, or was it somewhere else? I grew up about 30 miles east of Winfield, at the end of K-38 if that helps. |

Yes it is...ding ding ding, we have a winner.
Thanks for saying hi, I am feeling more welcome every time I pop in. |
|
|

Well that's kinda the point. If you felt less welcome, you might never come back!

I actually happened across mingle looking for a chat room, I saw that it is for dating but checked out the forums and was hoping that it would be ok for me to hang out here some. I am married but yet here I am...for more?
I can only assume that some of you have children and I want to take my 7 y/o to the zoo or botanical gardens in Wichita...any input from parents, as to which is better. Thanks, I was actually thinking of deactivating my profile so I appreciate you all for saying hi. |
|

i would have to say it would be the best taking your child to the zoo, i mean, what 7 y/o doesn't love animals. of course, i'm 30 and still love the zoo, so maybe i go more for me, i hope not! have a wonderful day!!

The zoo is very nice. One of the best in this part of the country actually. I have a membership and go a number of times a year.
There's plenty of things that happen in Wichita for the kids to do. I took my youngest to the fire vehicle parade today, which was followed by a 'party' in the park. Was lots of fun. You can find lots of things on 360wichita or Wichitacitymag.com. Welcome to the forums! |

Too bad you just missed 'Woofstock'. Your kid would have enjoyed it!

There's a ren Fair this weekend. That would explain all the current rain.

There's a ren Fair this weekend. That would explain all the current rain. Oh yeah.... how much is it this year? |
|
|

Rain amount of cost of Ren?
