Cruises are great, but yeah, it really sucks when you're on your own, they charge you double. There's a couple of websites that hook single people up to share cabins, if you would be comfortable sharing with a stranger.
www.cruisemates.com is one, I can't recall the other off-hand. |

Dude, all I can say is grab a buddy of yours. Do the off-ship activities, and just have a blast. Trust me, you boith will have a good time.
Enjoy |

I'm so excited about taking my first cruise in May!! I'm like obsessed with the thoughts of what to do on the excursions! And the free drinks......... Unless you found an all-inclusive cruise, drinks are not free, not even soda! The only drinks that are free are water, coffee, tea, milk and juice. It can be quite a sticker shock for some. |

what!?! no free drinks!!! j/k. i knew soda wasn't free but i thought the alcohol was free or highly reasonable.

what!?! no free drinks!!! j/k. i knew soda wasn't free but i thought the alcohol was free or highly reasonable. Nope, not free and it depends on your definition of reasonable. For DC prices, where I'm from, they were cheap. My best friend in Michigan thought they were over-priced. I think the drinks they bring around were about $7 and beers were $3-4. Sodas were $2.50 but that was 3 years ago, don't know what they are now. |
