On the topic of what are believable facts and what expenditures might be outrageous or immoral or hinky...
...remember your neighbor. In case of flood, tornado, earthquake, calamities of natural kinds, you know that nationality or local political parties or conspiracy theories do not sidetrack common decency and respect. Those are the facts that matter. No matter if we disagree on morality of wars, or service, or the issues of other sorts, we are each thankful for the individual determination to of neighbors to do what they think is their best for common good to us all. And we respect their views, or how they believe what someone on TV or other media tell them to believe, because we know that we will try to do what is right in our own view. But each of us also knows that terrorist groups and supporters will seek to turn us against our government, and against our religious freedom, and any other strength of democracy. Whether I agree with your research, beliefs, prinicples, or emotions, you are my ally in this fight to keep each other free from anger towards each other. I do not know, nor am ever likely to meet, any of the famous people or those entrusted with making decisions in public office on my behalf. But with your vote and mine, in total, we agreed that they represent us. Do as much to honor them as would be proper if you were in their place, and none of us knew you and your reasons for deciding what is to be done. Before you were there, you were my neighbor, and I trusted you. Thank you, good neighbors. |
