Too Frozen to Dance?

Tommy, at BT Bones (Best Little Steakhouse in Florida),
The man could dance.
The one who could penetrate
The ice locking my limbs
Created by excessive self-conscious awareness.
Ice became water that flowed and meshed with
His movements.
No one, two ---- one, two --- rhythm with this man.
The adventure of dance had begun.

When Tommy led you out on that dance floor
You knew the whole floor was his domain and
He was going to introduce you to every inch of it.
He possessed an almost trance-like ability
Of comfort and safety, and there was no doubt,
The joy of the dance was why he held you.
One hand lightly resting on his shoulder,
The other held loosely in his hand.
His arm, draped around your waist
Defining the zone no one could enter.

If a fight broke out on the dance floor,
He would calmly glide you around it.
If this was not possible, you were
Guided to the safest region and his body blocked
You from any flying objects or people.

Ahh, Tommy, the horse whisperer of the dance floor.
Soothing the most high strung thoroughbred,
Or calming the fears of the most freedom loving wild mustang
As the magic of letting go of control,
melted whoever he partnered into
The joy of the dance.

Oh God! can I dance with Tommy, this sounds enticing!
