As I was sitting here today thinking
(and yes it hurt... ![]() ![]() I was in deep thought about the fact that my materialistic belongings have been packed up and in storage in a garage for over a year now. I have only lived with the bare (Not bear ![]() Granted I have'nt got that much and nothing is really worth anything really, except sentimentally. I realized I do not need that much to live with. However the difference between what I would LIKE to have, and what I NEED is pretty great. I do not need all of it to survive, or to live though. I wonder how many of us actually stop and think about this at all??? Without being forced to look at it. Before we buy or get something, do we even stop and think... do I really need this? If we don't stop and think about it- perhaps we should. We can be sooooo much happier going through life not wanting so much all the time. (Not saying we should'nt have TOYS from time to time ![]() The same can be said for looking for a date or a partner. Perhaps we don't think hard enough about what we need rather ~vs~ what we want. We may be passing up a great chance in life, if we want too much. Perhaps we don't allways need what we want. Have we ever just stopped and observed what people are like, and who they really are. Rather then think ouuuuu I want that. Yep- a discussion post!!! ![]() Discuss a way!!! Also name a couple of things- you think you could live without. I will be back later to check this out! ![]() |

I was discussing this last night with a friend. Me, having all that stuff and then poof!! its gone, I realized that I do not need most of the things I have. People prioritize all the time. What is your priority??? Beautiful furniture? cars? clothes? boats etc? I told my friend I had all that and did it make me any happier??>>? No! Money does help but where and how you use it is where your heart lies...
As for people.....want vs need. I want a person who I can count on, who doesnt make my life sooooooo complicated that I have no sense of safety. Yes I want tranquility and harmony and all that clique stuff but need??? what do I need???? I need compatability, stability, laughter, oh and yes really great sex. ![]() |

To paraphrase the Dalai Lama:
The greatest love that exists is between two individuals who only want each other and don't need each other at all. I agree with that. yours in Chaos, Scarlett |
