Topic: IM's v E-mail which is better?

I personally perfer IM's. it is more like a real conversation and you can get a vibe of the person by how they react instantly. e-mail seems more disconnected. i think the ladies like e-mail better tho. what do you think? IM's v. E-mail which is better?

IM's v. E-mail which is better? If it's someone I really want to talk to, I prefer IMs. More real-time, more spontaneity. If it's just someone hassling me because they didn't like something they saw in the 163rd paragraph of my profile, I'd rather leave it at e-mail.

I like to start with messages, and then progress to IM's - and then to voice chatting, ultimately meeting someone in person (I wish lol). It's all stages of progression.

I agree with Pete. If someone starts IM'ing me out of nowhere I'm instantly creeped out - just the way it is. I like to start with messages, and then progress to IM's - and then to voice chatting, ultimately meeting someone in person (I wish lol). It's all stages of progression.

I agree with Pete. If someone starts IM'ing me out of nowhere I'm instantly creeped out - just the way it is. Oh, you just reminded me of the CREEPIEST IM I ever got: some guy IMd me out of the blue on here, saying he was "horny and wanted to come to England" I said, "Why? American women are HOT" (he was American btw) - he replied: "Oh... if you're like that"... Like THAT??!! ummm.... straight?? I have nothing against gay folk at all, but DON'T IM me asking me to talk dirty to you dude, that's really not my cup of tea
