Bush hopes to sign bailout quickly

AFP

US President George W. Bush hopes to sign emergency economic rescue legislation as quickly as possible, perhaps as early as Friday, according to White House spokesman Tony Fratto.

"If the bill passes, we'd like to sign it as quickly as possible and as soon as they get it to us," he said as the House of Representatives, which rejected the bailout on Monday, prepared to vote on a much-modified version.

Bush, who has pushed lawmakers to approve plans to inject up to 700 billion dollars to save troubled US banks and ease a credit crunch, was expected to speak after the vote but before leaving Washington for the weekend.

If the House approves the plan, the legislation must then formally be sent for Bush's signature, a routine process that can sometimes take days.

"I know the House clerk's office is working to try to get, should the bill pass, to get it here as quickly as possible. We're hopeful that they'll be able to do that," said Fratto.

The spokesman said Bush, who was scheduled to leave town later in the day for political fundraisers and a weekend stay at his Texas ranch, could sign the legislation while out of town.

"We've done that before. The president can sign the bill whenever it gets to him," he said.

Texas might not be far enough, but then again all sorts of arrest warrants are waiting for members of the Bush admin. all over the world, so maybe they ought to just hide in the nuke bunkers.

The only person that got it right back in 1991 was the honorable Judge Alvin 'J.P' Valkenheiser.

Should have put him on the Supreme Court!

House terrorized by martial law passes bailout bill 263 to 171

Get prepared for hyperinflation and massive job losses

House capitulates after a week of economic terrorism and threats of martial law being declared against the American people if they did not pass the disastrous and unprecedented $700 billion bank bailout.

This legislation gives the central government full and unquestionable control of our financial future without oversight and full dictatorial powers.

“We all know that we are in the midst of a financial crisis,” House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH), said shortly before casting his vote for government intervention in private capital markets that was unthinkable only a month ago.

Boehner continues, “And we know that if we do nothing, this crisis is likely to worsen and to put us into an economic slump like most of us have never seen.”

29 Congressman who opposed the bill just a couple days ago are know saying they must pass the bill or there will be dire consequences.

“No matter what we do or what we pass, there are still tough times out there. People are mad — I’m mad,” said Republican Rep. J. Gresham Barrett of South Carolina, who opposed the measure the first time it came to a vote. Now, he said, “We have to act. We have to act now.”

Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., another convert, said, “I have decided that the cost of doing nothing is greater than the cost of doing something.”

Regardless of what you may hear from the talking heads of the controlled media there have be few changes in the bill from when it was original presented by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson last week.

This is a complete fascist/communist style take over of America’s financial market by the powerful Anglo banking cartel of New York and London.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, a supporter of the bill, made calls to members of the Congressional Black Caucus, who publicly credited him with changing their minds.

Obama’s campaign is run and controlled by globalist and anti-American Zbigniew Brzezinski president of the Trilateral Commission.

The end is here, Enjoy it. You think 4 dollar a gallon gas was bad just wait till the dollar starts falling from this joke of a bill. We will see prices at the pump jump to 6 or 7 dollars a gallon next summer. hope you got a bicycle sitting around next to your car. How did this bill even make it threw anyway? How come this bill got all the lime light and the 25 billon dollar bail out for us automakers didn't even get a second of air time till it was passed.
