DEM hypocrisy is for us to do as they say not as they do. I'm amazed by all the hoopla on these boards by partisan posters for the DNC in this election year. While you post all the lies about REPS you seem to completely ignore DEMS who do the same. So I guess you don't mind that they win by default? (Psst!...and they think they are doing a good job.) LOL
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has directed nearly $100,000 from her political action committee to her husband's real estate and investment firm over the past decade, a practice of paying a spouse with political donations that she supported banning last year. Financial Leasing Services Inc. (FLS), owned by Paul F. Pelosi, has received $99,000 in rent, utilities and accounting fees from the speaker's "PAC to the Future" over the PAC's nine-year history. The payments have quadrupled since Mr. Pelosi took over as treasurer of his wife's committee in 2007, Federal Election Commission records show. FLS is on track to take in $48,000 in payments this year alone - eight times as much as it received annually from 2000 to 2005, when the committee was run by another treasurer. Lawmakers' frequent use of campaign donations to pay relatives emerged as an issue in the 2006 election campaigns, when the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal gave Democrats fodder to criticize Republicans such as former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay of Texas and Rep. John T. Doolittle of California for putting their wives on their campaign and PAC payrolls for fundraising work. http://www.washtimes.com/news/2008/oct/01/pelosis-pac-pays-bills-for-spouses-firm/ |

The Washington Times is a newspaper owned by Reverend Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church.
Let's discuss when this hits a reputable news source. |

Californians are up in arms about her, even though Californians have voted her in for so long.
That is why she chairs the House, her tenure is so long. I have no statistics to back it up, but the vocal here in California are calling for her head. The democrats are calling for Cindy Sheehan to replace her at the ballot box. AT the least, Pelosi may fall from grace here, but her replacement is no improvement. California taints the whole balance of power by the sheer size of the population here. Please do not forget that fact. California is liberal nirvana, politically, and pure hell, morally. But it's home and always entertaining. LOL KOOL AID isn't just for kids anymore. |

Good to have you back, Woody. If this is true, even if legal, it still stinks.

Joe Biden is a millionaire many times over, and his only job has been senator at a paltry 1/4 million a year or so. Great investments, I suppose. There are no honest politicians anywhere. It is all for the power and the "fringe benefits" that they write for themselves, but common folk would be getting piped in sunlight for doing the same things.

So far, Pelosi's mess with this is above board.
But it doesn't look good, true. I am not a fan of her, if you've guessed that already. But she is smart and sharp as a tack. Obama has his hands full dealing with her running the House. He doesn't quite grasp how powerful she has become by virtue of her longevity in the House. She is a formidable player in Washington politics and most do not realize how much she influences Congress by her activity or inactivity, depending on how one views her contributions to the Congress. But it is Pelosi that warrants the dismal approval rating given the Congress by the citizenry. Lobby California to get rid of her. But put something in the KOOL AID, or it won't get the desired effect. Pelosi is very wealthy, by the way. She is a scraper. |

Well actually if she has so much integrity then why would she sponsor a bill that would make this sort of thing criminal?
That's what I'm talking about...the hypocrisy is in our faces. So ...now...why should I vote for a DEM? |
