UFC to oppose Affliction's 2nd event by changing UFC 93's name to UFC 94 and newly scheduleing a new UFC 93 in Ireland 2 weeks before UFC 94 - superbowl weekend...
Rich Franklin could meet Dan Henderson Jan. 17 at UFC 93, according MMAjunkie.com So far the cards for January 17th look like... Affliction: Day of Reckoning. PPV (prelims on HDnet, damn you Mark Cuban!) Main card; Fedor Emelianenko vs. TBA Andrei Arlovski vs. Josh Barnett Vladimir Matyushenko vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Matt Lindland vs. Trevor Prangley Chris Horodecki(yaaaay!) vs. Dan Lauzon Ben Rothwell vs. Pedro Rizzo Drew Fickett vs. Jay Hieron Antonio Duarte vs. Albert Rios Prelim; Paul Buentello vs. Roy Nelson Jason High vs. Mike Pyle Chase Gormley vs. Jay Whit UFC 93. most likely on Spike Rich Franklin vs. TBA (possibly Dan Henderson) Once again, Dana White thinks he can steal the show and audience away. I'll watch both, but I'll pay to watch Fedor fight. Thoughts? |

My first thought was Fedor making Dana White his beeeatch...
Then I stopped laughing. Dana White knows that this competition (ie: Affliction and EliteXC) is good for both the sport and the fans. But thats not what he really wants. He wants that monopoly. and that is why he can suckacack, as we say back east. edit: fackin filter

Why would Dana not want Affliction? You kidding me? Because he's a money grubbin' tool who only wants the UFC to be associated with MMA. In his world, if you're not in the UFC you're not a top fighter. |

Co-Promotion will take this sport through the roof. Mr White needs to wake up and stop thinking about his precious "brand", and how much money he can make.
Because the reality is, this sport could become way bigger than Boxing is now (if its not already) and possibly AS big as it used to be. Co-promotion is key and Dana Dumbnuts doesnt realize he could make even more in the long run. |
