and wondering how many of the gals here, there or anywhere are thrilled by the interest of "hunting"?

Did that with daddy as a wee nipper. Can't say the idea of traipsing through the brush with a rifle in my hand appeals to me. Do they just say hunting because it makes them sound manly....do they say it 'cause its a warning that they are carrying a big gun...is it a warning that they will be gone through all the hunting seasons?

Any thoughts? Would you like BAMBI'S mother's head stuffed and mounted on your wall?

Not particularly, but my ex mother-in-law's stuffed head over my mantle would add to my decor nicely.

Went hunting once. Didn't enjoy it very much. As Quiet said, too cold and too early. But I have twice shot deer for food. Once from my front yard and once from by back porch. No interest in mounted-head trophies though.

I do like bird hunting though. We have a long season on dove here

Hunted years ago, people quit going with me.
I dropped all that I shot at, others would miss & I would take the last shot.

tried small game hunting with my dad when i was a girl, but got startled when birds flew up in front of me. I grew up in a family that hunted but I'm not into it.
