Life
Today I live, tomorrow who knows We swarm to a funeral dressed like crows Memories of past fade away every moment We judge lifes existence as an inevitable opponent Our survival is measured with each passing second Sometimes at ease, other times seem hectic We create our own paths of life with each breathe Inhaling life, exhaling death. ['Life' was written one year ago when a family friend passed away. I don't think I ever posted that one. The following poem 'Death' I just wrote is not a continuation. I was just bouncing off the contrasting titles and here is what I just came up with.] Death Sometimes I want to drink and not stop and see where it all goes and when it goes You see This is not the poem I'm trying to write But when you don't plagerize This stuff falls out Like me when the opportunity arises turned over and out Sometimes my wit skips bits and pieces and things like meticulate placement of keys on a key ring with teeth chewing both ways I will tell you; A death can kill a man -OR- It can also take away his life and sneak up to slit his own throat Enough to make me wanna flip on out Eating the same pot of stew Same fricken fork Sames fricken sames It's like ? the wrong bet against the wrong person who knows the WRONG PEOPLE My life lingers on dark fingers on darts Chuckin sin into the wind I have been tempted I rest I awake I think this could be better Looking for a header but I'll accept a footer massage message missage mossage mussage whatever camo to fluage It would surely be dark Dark as the night the lights dead beam flickerage begins Stuck her in mundane Swearing, I swears swearfully Sweared Howling at the moon If the night was any darker I would be a bat And knock this nutball out of the park -OR- run in traffic backwards wearing the latest fashions Either way you look at it death can kill a man -OR- It can... |

'Sometimes I want to drink and not stop and see where it all goes and when it goes You see This is not the poem I'm trying to write But when you don't plagerize This stuff falls out Like me when the opportunity arises' ![]() i kinda think finding death is finding life again. it has happened from time to time as a little adventure diversion somewhere in the mix o life. |

those lines moved me so when i read them, perfect sense.
losses bring you to death and a death(s) can be a loss(es) overcoming inertia, soaring past numb, into purpose driven blunder loss of meaning in pleasure, false beauty and pain recognizing the alter risen to complete this task |
