Lord may he be blind,
Blinded by true love, Not just decide by my figure, When push comes to shove. Lord may he be deaf, As I rattle and spew, When I get nervous, My mouth is all full of goo. Yes goo goo and ga ga, As I wear my heart on my sleeve, Oh Lord let him be kind, To those days I am naive. Let him see my heart, Truly see my soul, For it's those parts, I hope he will know. As I walk into the door, Or trip on some clutter, Lord let him see past this, Beyond my spit and sputter. Lord let him embrace, My silliness when I'm tired, Or my poetic writings, When I get all fired. Lord let him understand, My childish ways, When I start a pillow fight, Or smear whip cream on his face. Let him speak of truths, Let him value honesty, If he falls in love, Let it be with the real me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
