The Haunted House On Mulberry Street
It happens every year, about this time In the house on Mulberry Street, On October thirty first, there was a crime Of the murder of John Caprice. The house stands vacant, ever since that night Has been for many years, No one dares to go by, with all their fright And all the chilling fears. On Halloween night, the eeriness begins With all the evil sounds, The banging of doors, the chandalier spins And the howling of baying hounds. Lights flickering, screams shrieking loud With the spirit of John Caprice, Lightning strikes, with a thunderous cloud His soul is not at peace. He will never rest, till he gets revenge Of the person who took his life, He loves her so, he can't wait to avenge His murderer was his wife. When she gets freed, of the insanity charge He knows she'll come back here, Then he will plot, his loving letharge And fill her full of fear. A year gone by and she is set free Standing in front of the house, Looking it over, all she can see All was quiet as a mouse. With suitcase in hand, she walks through the gate Not knowing what lies ahead, Soon, darkness will fall, she'll meet her fate When John comes back from the dead. All dusty inside, cobwebs hang from the rafts Nothing changed when she left, All visions of rage, come in like a draft The night of Johns death. The sun sets, darkness begins to wake Then the eeriness begins to arise, She gets startled, she hears a glass break It should come as no surprise. With the little teases, he conjures up more To scare her to death, He'll seek his revenge, for what's in store With what he has left. A door shuts loudly, he begins a long moan As he lowly calls out her name, "Maaaarrryyyy..." with a long drone "I'm glad that you came." "John? Is that you? I'm sorry my love It was a jealous rage." "Silence." said the voice from above "For you will pay the wage." As his spirit flew down, she was full of fright As he reached inside her chest, "You never let me explain, what happened that night This is what I loved best." As he held her heart, beating in his hand Her body fell to the floor, As her spirit rises, in front of him she stands "I'll still love you forever more." As demons rise up, they take her soul And they take her to hell, Now John can rest, he's achieved his goal The house is now for sale. |
