Nice guys finish last....
...Wow.......that actually hurt a little bit reading that....I can honestly say I've done most of those things. |

I want to vote that the word "nice" be removed from the dictionary. I mean "ain't" got into it.... let's remove actual words then....

Knowing what you want, and sticking to it, doesn't necessarily mean a person isn't "nice." It just means he won't easily be tricked into something outside his designated parameters.
I went for years and years going from one 90-day revolving-door relationship into another -- and that worked fine, for awhile. But there was a point when it occurred to me that there might be something more meaningful, more substantial, out there. And I spent a lot of time looking for that. And now I've come to realize that there's no such thing -- for me, anyway. I would have been better off just doing the short-term thing, because that's what worked for me before. Doesn't mean I can't be "nice." Just means I'm realistic. |

Lexy, if I ever wanted to insult you in the most pedestrian way I can imagine, I'd call you nice.
Folks, nice doesn't mean nice. Doesn't the term "nice" mean too much to even use accurately? I don't want a fvcking nice guy. I want a smart, funny, empathetic, considerate, honest, articulate, witty, diligent, magnanimous, independent, etc. guy. You get the point. I hope. |

I'm just going keep on fishing, keeping my hart on a hook for bait.
At least the view is nice |

No comment. This repetitive "Nice guy" bullsh!t is giving me a headache. Want a nice guy? Treat him like a nice guy. Sh!t on him constantly and he will be "Gone guy".

Lexy, if I ever wanted to insult you in the most pedestrian way I can imagine, I'd call you nice. There is a blandness to it, an ineffectual nebulousness that defines itself simply by being so ethereal. What does it really mean? Pleasant, good? But you could say that of a Hostess Twinkie. Folks, nice doesn't mean nice. Doesn't the term "nice" mean too much to even use accurately? Or too little, if one focuses on the sheer vacuousness. I don't want a fvcking nice guy. I want a smart, funny, empathetic, considerate, honest, articulate, witty, diligent, magnanimous, independent, etc. guy. You get the point. I hope. And here we come to (as Frank Zappa would have called it) the crux of the biscuit. I can honestly say I am all of those things, and maybe a few others as well. Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you the same. But, in the most practical of practical senses, it means absolutely nothing. |

I don't think of myself as a nice guy but I do believe & follow most of what the OP wrote.....
then again I don't think I've finished last....i just haven't found that 'forever' right one.....but I don't want to settle either.... I want the woman to 'get me'.....and that isn't as easy as I used to think.....but, i don't hide so its out there ladies...... my question to the ladies, "What are you doing to keep your guy?" |

I know where all the nice guys are! After 5 nice guy threads in 24 hours, they are all hiding from sociopsychotic desperate women looking for them!
