I did a similar one. You left out the part that Applicant Y was bottom of the class! |

I'd bring one of them on as an intern and if they prove that they can produce a profit for the corporation, then I'd hire them. |

what difference does it who got what degree and who went to what school. congress is whats screwed up and needs to fixed.
i would tell them to go into politics...because there...one's education has less of an impact...
And work experience is,??????
Other outside interests and activities????? So what have you done since you've gotten out of school?? What do you do for fun???? Limited information. All decisions are made with insufficient information. |

Neither one of them would have made it through my interview process.
As soon as they digressed from what they could do for me to telling me what their competition was doing wrong... I would show them the door. I do not hire based on education alone anyway.(unless I am hiring for an entry level position). For a position of importance I look for past history of accomplishments that fits in with my needs. I look at the applicants track record. Check the congressional record and the choice becomes obvious. Not the record as put out in each ones negative adds, or by the national news gossips. Check the actual track record. It is available on-line. It is an eye opener. |

It's still an interesting comparison.

It's still an interesting comparison. Aye but I once worked in a factory with a dude that had a Phd... He lost his hand cause he forgot to close the safety door before pushing the button on a machine that moves stuff real fast and on a timer. can you say 'DUH'. Education means you know how to study. It does not mean you know how to USE that knowledge. |

haha
Team A Guy who could only win running unopposed in state legislature Perennial presidential candidate failure Team B War hero and veteran legislator with independent streak Most popular state governor in America this kind of thing has no real value. Obama is clearly not well qualified to be president. McCain is qualified but may be hamstrung by his party and right wing idealogues. no good choices here. the Dems really blew it this year they should be crushing McCain. now it could go either way... |
