You are right don't believe everything... Amazing that those same cameras did not show the people that were pushing themselve into police lines. (pushing = agressive action (not peaceful assembly).

While there might have been some that were mistreated by police...

There were also those that felt that 'Peaceful' assembly included storming gates, forcing their way into someone elses space, pushing themselves into a place they were not invited.

I am a firm believer in freedom of the press.

but I am appalled by the press thinking that means they have the right to voilate other peoples rights.

With any freedom comes also responsible action.

Everyone has the right to a peacful assemblybut when you have a few that decide to break the law everyone needs to do what the police tell them to so they can gain control of the situation. If your at a protest and some start getting violent, you standing there not doing what the police tell you to do and asking why they are telling you only makes you part of the problem. Cooperate with the police so they can deal with the violent ones then I'm sure you could continue with your peacful protest.

I dont get it, the United States has some of the most important and greatest freedoms guaranteed to its citizens...and yet, you are mostly just sheeple, your apathy and fear boggles the mind...your country is sinking faster than the Titanic and you just go along complacently with the only two candidates presented to you like you have no other choices...I hope that come election day, the fat cats have the decency to pass out the Vaseline, you all are gonna need it....

Americans cannot see past their own selfish hatreds and desires to see the big picture. I will correct that to say "Some Americans". They are so caught up in who do we hate and abuse today, blacks? hispanics? gays? women? muslims? Etc... that they cannot see that they are the problem.

McCain is the favorite among the racists in this country, of course. And he is the devil incarnate, just like his predecessor. They together will finish off the middle class in this country and make them all poor. And remember that the "great republicans" believe that the poor are that way by their own dam fault so they will be SOL. The damage to be done by this man and his unrealistic agenda gets people worked up.

I beleive our forefathers said that once the government fails it's duty to work for the people we should disassemble it and redo it. If we cannot be smart enough in this country to not vote the devil into office (McCain)(Bush) then maybe it is time for some protesting that will make people take notice.

Amen!!! I am so scared at this point that, "That Woman" will be making decisions for me I can hardly breath.
