Seriously though, I'm not sure if I'm just being ignorant (people scoffed at Jenner's work on smallpox vaccination, believing people would turn into cows - and nothing has changed in the last 200-odd years, the media reacts to genetically modified crops in the same way), maybe the scientists in charge of this experiment know exactly what they're doing, maybe not. Who knows? Not me.

I doubt they'd build a 17 mile long science experience hinging on just a blind hunch from scientists that don't know what they're doing.
