For the longest time, I've this issue in how I view women. The notion of two attractive women fighting each other or "catfighting" turned me on, it aroused me. Well maybe that is going to change now. I was watching some fight videos online tonight, and I stopped to think: "Wait if that were my girlfriend doing the fighting, would I still be so turned on by it?" I quickly deduced I probably would not have, instead being concerned for her well being. It made me think a little bit. Whether it will help this issue I have remains to be seen, but it might.

probably the worst conceived topic on the boards, congratulations.

I don't even know what your agenda is with this topic. Are you trying to talk yourself out of being attracted to two girls fighting each other by imagining that one of the girls is your girlfriend?

Isn't that the same thing as trying to talk yourself out of having sex with your girlfriend because she could be your sister?

Yeah that's the idea, and no I don't think it's the same either. Women shouldn't be seen as fighters to start with anyway. It's different from sex in that sense. There's a love that exists there at least in that case, not so with the fighting.

I'd like you to expand your mind a little.

Don't limit yourself by saying "women shouldn't be seen as fighters"

In reality they can be seen as anything. They should be seen as fighters as equally as they shouldn't be seen as fighters. What this breaks down to is that even though you have an opinion of how women should be seen, you must realize that there exists someone somewhere with the opposite view as you and you must respect their opinion as much as they should respect your opinion. Just acknowledge it exists and that it's not "wrong" because the fundamental of what right and wrong stems from your survival and something like this does not threaten you or your quality of life.

I do acknowledge that it exists, but that doesn't mean it's any more wrong as murder or rape is wrong. Certain things are opinions, such as a favorite food, favorite team, etc, and then other things are more defined as right or wrong. This falls into the latter category. It's degrading to see a woman as more a fighter then a person, objectifying them in that sense.

It may be easier to understand what right or wrong is by imagining yourself as the only person on Earth. Try to do something wrong.

Doesn't work though. Look at it this way, if you do something that you know is going to have a negative impact on another person, then how can that not be wrong?

Easy. Just put it into context.

A. It's wrong to kill someone (you don't even know).
B. It's alright to kill someone (you don't even know) when you are at war"

or is it? or is it not?

WTF...?

You have this dumb fantasy that a lot of guys have. Then you go on the internet and ask a bunch of strangers if it's "right or wrong" because "what if one of them was my girlfriend?"

Then you start spouting about how you "know" it's wrong to think of women that way and THEN you start saying that it's no more wrong than murder or rape is wrong to imagine women as fighters?

I realize you are kinda poor at expressing yourself, but this is straying into the "borderline Ted Bundy" zone.

If you think that having hot fantasies about women fighting is no more wrong than killing or raping someone, you're sick in the head, dude.

End of story. Get help. Good luck! (er... not with the rape/murder thing, of course!) yours in Chaos, Scarlett

I agree--if they are good looking. If they're overweight and have teeth missing it's sort of gross. ;)
