Paul: ‘I could never support somebody who thinks that it’s funny to say bomb bomb bomb Iran.’
Friday, Sept 19, 2008 On MSNBC today, Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) explained to host Norah O’Donnell that he refused former Sen. Phil Gramm’s entreaties for him to endorse Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) because he disagrees with him “on all the major issues,” especially foreign policy. “I mean I could never support somebody who thinks that it’s funny to say ‘bomb bomb bomb Iran,’” said Paul. “That, to me, is not somebody that I could endorse ever.” Watch it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOb3cC2FVIg In April 2007, McCain sang “Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran” to the tune of the Beach Boy’s “Barbara Ann” when asked at a town hall “when America is going to ’send an air mail message to Tehran.’” |

McCain Vs. Paul = NeoConservatism Vs. Real Conservatism.
Listen to McCain on a topic, like foriegn policy, then listen to Dr. Paul. You(or anyone else for that matter) tell me who sounds more like they've read the constitution and the writings of the founding fathers! |

true,im not taking a chance on obama getting in.theres nothing to be gained with voting for paul. a lot to lose by not voting for mccain.sadly

For me - there is too much to lose by voting for McCain.
I honestly fear for the country if it happens. |

McCain, Obama, if either of them gets in, you're not getting a conservative.

The Child Left Behind situation is basically no good. And the bomb, bomb, thing, etc. |

I do get something out of voting for Dr.Paul, I get to look in the mirror and say: "I voted for the best person for the job, I voted for the only candidate that would restore, respect and obey the Constitution."

I do get something out of voting for Dr.Paul, I get to look in the mirror and say: "I voted for the best person for the job, I voted for the only candidate that would restore, respect and obey the Constitution." quite possibly the most moral reason I have heard to vote at all. I have my king. I am content to take what comes out of respect for authority. I will give my opinion about political matters, but will never dignify, defend, or justify any of it with my vote of conscience. Jesus isn't on the ballot. peace, out |

I can lean to the left at times, but The 'bomb bomb bomb Iran' doesn't bother me except for the fact that he should know he can't say those kinds of things in the public eye. We've all made tasteless jokes.. hell, I know I do all the time. I know enough to know he's not serious. Judge him on the real issues, not a bad joke.

That is poor judgment considering the situation of the unstable environment overseas. IMO |

Jesus isn't on the ballot. peace, out First off, Jesus wouldn't run for office, let alone in our morally deficient country. Now, if I go against my principles and vote for one of these candidates, these mainstream, same coin different sides people, what am I doing, but violating my own morals? Especially that I know neither one of them has this Nations best interests at heart. When I look at the candidates, I do so with a united front of my instincts, my logic, my heart and my conscience. I don't need to justify anything, I simply would like to look at myself 2 years from now and not feel like I let myself, my family or my country down, by voting for the "lesser" of evil. Evil is evil, if you vote for it, you endorse it. |
