“Humpty Dumpty
Sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty Had a great fall. All the king’s horses And all the king’s men Couldn’t put Humpty together again. Ah-Ha, but could Humpty Put himself back together? Could Humpty pick and choose That which he truly was and not The glued shell of what another required? Perhaps his purpose on the wall Was no longer necessary. Did he learn All he could see from that point in life And tumble and roll on to the next aspect Or in his case, shall we say, roll on to the his next verse? “Mary Mary Quite contrary. How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells And pretty maids all in a row.” Why was Mary considered contrary? Was she A bit like me And not so fond of So-called society? Did their inconsistencies Make poor Mary Oh so very wary Of what most consider normalcy? Did this cause her to plant and fertilize Her character’s garden Differently than most? Did her joy in life Bring blossoms of a different hue Than those the other “gardeners” knew? Nursery Rhymes Aesop’s Fables Bring so many possibilities To the psyche’s tables. To be dumped in piles And sifted through. Silly to some, Yet containing your you. If not found there Expand your searching looks. Check into some other books. Novels, plays, perhaps to music Your drawn. No matter the method, Your spirit will sing When you find The harmony of your you-ness. |

It does make one ponder though. I've never looked into nursery rhymes like that. Now I'm going to be more astute when I do read.

we thinks the words come spewing forth. What has mteagle been feeding you? Thanks R. There is a book about stuff like this called, "Women Who Run with the Wolves". It's a bit dull at times, but I did force my way through it and I guess it stuck somewhere in the back of my mind. |
