Topic: Middle class Americans don’t really own anything.

You think you own your house – don’t pay the property taxes and they can take it from you.

Think you own land – don’t pay the taxes and they can take it from you.

Think you own your car – don’t pay your vehicle /tag tax and see if you can drive it.

So, you see we don’t own anything. We are leasing everything that we think we own. .

Sure you can own a blender or a refrigerator but what will you plug it into if you don’t have a house or an apartment to live in?

The powers that be even changed the bankruptcy laws (a few months before the economy went in the craper by the way , remember that ?) So, now you have to be saddled with debt even in bankruptcy. No fresh start for Americans that tried and failed. The middle class is being crushed and eliminated.

I see people live it every day. I don’t need the idiot box to show or tell me anything that I haven’t already seen on the street. People are hurting and now is the time for us to get into the mix with our government and work this garbage out for our benefit and for our children’s benefit. Enough with small minority interest groups setting our countries policies and dictating our laws and tax’s .

It’s time for the majority in this country to stand up and take charge!!!

Think you own a corporation, let the stocks fall and someone buys them up and over throws you.

The only stable people are the ones at the bottom, their status doesn't change.

I want to propose a law that says: No matter what, an American citizen’s home and property may not be taken from them once the home and /or property has been paid for.

I’m not a lawyer I’m sure there could be exceptions but property ownership/ shelter should be a basic right with out too many exceptions.

Do something about it, mail congress...start a march, mail the whitehouse. The more people that bring the issue to the forefront the more the issue is going to be paid attention too...or continue to whine about the countries decline on an internet forum, really I don't care.

I have been in contact with my Representatives and senators offices. I am still waiting for a reply.

I am here to converse with my fellow Americans.

I am very politically active.

You assume to much my friend. It's not polite to call names...what’s your beef?

Think before you speak chief.

So then how do you propose to get people to pay their back taxes?

You can't just offer up therories... you have to make them practical applications...

It's called a FLAT TAX. Look it up you might like it.

Just an idea... who says I cant offer up therories?

What idea's do you have?

What's not right in your world ?

What do you think needs to be fixed???

one thing i think that needs to be fixed is,voting, the president should be put into office by popular votes,so our votes would actually really count.

I don't have an issue with people who don't pay their taxes getting their houses taken from them.

Here's why.

If as you say they own the house outright, and they for whatever reason can't pay the taxes they have equity in their homes that they can take out an equity line of credit, and pay the taxes. If they are still paying the bank for their house, they can roll the taxes intot the payments to the bank. If you cannot afford the taxes on your house then you cannot afford your house and you should not buy it, if you have things in your life happen, you should downsize...

It's called the free enterprise system for a reason. I'm sick and tired of people wanting all of their freedoms and yet want someone to help them when they get in over their heads. THAT'S NOT THE FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM. THAT'S SOCIALISM. Which is fine too, but you don't get it both ways.

You can offer up all the therories you want but if your not part of the solution, you are part of the problem...

I agree with that!!...we should also get away from electronic voting machines. Anyone can rig a computer. There is to much room for voter fraud.
