This could be the fabled "WoW killer". I've been playing it and it's pretty well designed. There are still a lot of bugs, but what can you expect for a game that hasn't officially gone live?

I'm waiting for the game where a character approaches me in the middle of a firefight and hands me a folder and tells me my taxes are done.

I have been watching my brother-in-law play it. It looks awesome but I would feel like I was cheating on WOW or something! LOL! He keeps trying to get me to play it.

ugh. down with WoW! ive been playing the tabletop war for years, lookig forward ot this game. btw if oyu havent tried it, conan kinda sucked. lol

Warhammer was the best fantasy table top game I have ever tried and the MMO has some really good points. I want to see what it's like in a couple months after it gets some polish, but I have already cancelled my WoW account.

im still waiting on the 40k mmo. and if they stole my idea i pitched them you guys can see me on tv when i sue,lol.

I was curious about this game, but they didnt give a long enough preorder beta and I didnt try it. Not to mention they just completely dropped some classes. My friend is not gonna play as long as there isn't a black guard and I most likely wont play either.

ima still try it, theyre gonna have more classes later im sure, and i like the starter ones anyhow,lol

We both just don't like the idea that they are releasing "part" of a game. They didn't finish it when they were supposed to, so they just dropped stuff. That is not the making of a great game.

And on that note I was going to get this game until I heard EA was apart of it.

I have been looking forward to this game for awhile and it has pissed me off they took out content/characters to make a deadline. Classic EA is right...I was happy when it was Mythic developers (the makers of Dark Age of Camelot). Those 'deleted' characters will probably come back in some expansion pack.

I WASNT gonna get Warhammer, but since Age of Conan turned out to be such a flop for me...I think I will pick up a copy--sigh

well WoW made a big stink about new classes and all that jazz, and the WH universe is huge, they cant fit it all,lol. im just hoping for a daemon class. thatd be awesome. :)

It has nothing to do with *fitting it all*. There were basically supposed to be 4 types for each race, tank, melee dmg, range dmg, support. Some races don't have all theirs.(example the black guard was the dark elf tank)

well look at conan, you had to be a certain race to even get a certain type, all wizards are stygian? GAY. lol

The Black Guard was broken, so they took it out. The Black Guard's special ability was that his damage and defense would go up according to his (and his groups) hatred for his enemy. Hatred was determined by how much damage was done by other members to the target(s). So if you put a Black Guard into a group with all healers, his special ability was useless. If you put him into a group with all DPS, his damage and defense went through the roof. Imagine putting a BG into a group with your best DPSers and then putting him up against a boss... Can you say "Easy Mode"? They decided to try to redesign the class to make it more even while keeping their unique flavor. They also took out Choppa (Greenskin DPS) and some human knight class. Hopefully they will bring the removed classes back, but maybe they won't. Personally, it doesn't bother me. I'm perfectly happy with my Magus and Squig Herder.

It wasn't broken. It was never even implemented in the closed beta. Then never actually figured out how to get the hate system to work.

That is different, that is like saying a gnome in WoW couldnt be a priest. Black Guard is actually its own class. Even though it is a "tank" all the tanks are different. It was a class that was supposed to be in the game, but they just didn't finish it. Instead of pushing back the game and finishing stuff they released an unfinished game.

Ok, well I broke down and bought it because I was bored. Was gonna play magus till I found out that they were not a glass cannon class. That made me a little sad I moved on. I tried the Marauder, they are alright, but everyone plays a freaking marauder so I moved on again. I am now playing a zealot and really like it.

I have been playing it, and its good fun. I hung up my T6 shaman in wow a couple months back, game just got stale.

WAR is different enough to be interesting me.

I have a Chosen I am having fun with, but I am really digging the Archmage.
